Super Eagles star scores twice in Galatasaray’s big win

Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru scored twice in Galatasaray 5-0 win over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig at the Turk Telekom Stadyumu on Monday night.
The 21-year-old Everton loanee retained his place in the starting line-up, occupying the left wing position as former West Ham star Sofiane Feghouli opened the flood gate in the 17th-minute before Nigeria international doubled the home side lead in the 65th minute after benefiting from Younes Belhanda’s assist.
Three minutes later Badou Ndiaye scored the third for Galatasaray and Onyekuru scored the fourth in the 78th minute to complete his brace after receiving a pass from Feghouli.
Mbaye Diagne sealed the result for Galatasaray in the 90th minute as Galatasaray recorded a huge win in front of their home supporters as The Lions extended their unbeaten run to eleven.
With the emphatic victory, Galatasaray maintains their second spot in the log behind Istanbul Basaksehir after garnering 49 points from 25 games. Onyekuru who has 11 goals in the league this season will hope to continue his goalscoring form when his Turkish Super Lig holders take on Shehu Abdullahi’s Bursaspor on Sunday, March 17.
